FAQs

Find out how we work with you

Find out how we design and deliver training, and get answers to the questions we’re asked most often.

How do we achieve results?

All our workshops are highly interactive and practical. We empower participants so that they can build on their existing skills, experience and knowledge – and then apply the new learning to their roles.

1

Research

Listening: You tell us about your organisation’s needs and goals. Participants may also complete a questionnaire about their individual experience and challenges.

Tailored design: Analysis of your current communications and goals shapes the content of the training.

2

Workshop design

Targeted topics: Content is tailored to your specific needs, such as simplifying complex information, focusing on accessibility, or creating readable reports.

Real-world material: Workshops use your authentic content for some interactive exercises.

3

Workshop delivery

Problem-solving focus: It’s not a lecture. Participants brainstorm solutions to writing issues rather than just listening to the trainer.

Interactive learning: Key points are practised in small breakout groups, where the trainer provides focused feedback.

4

Outcomes

Reaching audiences and goals: Participants take away the writing skills to capture users’ attention and achieve objectives.

New approach: Workshops help writers to change old habits – to develop a faster, user-focused, and more effective way to write.

Role development: Participants gain transferable skills to help them meet professional goals.

Frequently asked questions

Can you use our own communications and templates during the training?

Yes. All workshops are tailored and highly practical.

We encourage you to send us real examples of your emails, reports, or letters so the practical exercises are immediately relevant.

We offer flexible options depending on your needs.

To allow for sufficient interaction, the Essentials and Masterclass modules are limited to 15 people. Webinars can go up to 50 people, while coaching sessions work best for one or two people.

Essentials workshops run for a half day and are suitable for most teams. We can also combine two Essentials workshops and present them on the same day.

A one-day Masterclass provides greater in-depth content and more time for practical exercises. These are suitable for staff with little experience of writing, or for teams that want to make big changes to their communications approach. The most popular one-day workshops are Writing for the web and Plain English.

Webinars last for one or two hours and coaching sessions are completely flexible.

We specialise in online training via Microsoft Teams (or another preferred platform). In-person training is available upon request.

To ensure the new writing habits stick, every team workshop includes 30 days of post-training email support. Your staff can email the trainer directly with quick questions as they begin to apply their new skills.

We are a fully insured training and editing provider trusted by leading Irish public sector bodies, regulators and financial firms. We accept purchase orders and expect electronic payment within 30 days.
